Writing Family Stories March 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Woman's Club, 44 Pleasant St, Concord, NH 03301, USA Writing Family Stories with Maura MaNeil. This interactive workshop led by Maura MacNeilexplores how the landscapes of our lives shape the stories that we tell. Participants explore the themes of family, memory,and place through sample narratives and a series of short writing exercises. Humanities Council Event
12,000 Years-Granite State April 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Woman's Club, 44 Pleasant St, Concord, NH 03301, USA More than 12,000 years ago small groups ofPaleoindians endured frigid winters in the Keene, NH area. In 2009, anarchaeological survey for the new Keene Middle School discovered remains oftheir stay and brought to light one of the oldest Native American sites in NewEngland. Professor Robert Goody will elaborate on its findings Humanities Council event.
