Rent the Club

Chamberlin House is a wonderful spot to rent for parties and presentations. Shown above is Joan Gilmore, project coordinator for the Welcoming Concord initiative that promotes and supports the successful integration of immigrant newcomers to Concord.

Chamberlin House has been used by Presidential candidates hosting campaign events to friends hosting baby showers. The events all fit into this historic home and call on the history of women living in this community using this house as their favorite gathering place for friendship, social action, and education.immigrant

It is a wonderful place in which to host an event.  Built in 1886 using mail order plans, possibly from Sears & Roebuck, Chamberlin House is a fine example of late Victorian architecture that lends notable presence to downtown Concord. This house has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982. Period details including a semi-circular stained glass window, carved staircase, and tiled fireplace in the foyer provide 10th Century charm. Classic architecture, Oriental rugs and Victorian furniture impart a historic ambience of the era.

In January 1919, Nellie Chamberlin bequeathed Chamberlin House and its furnishings to the Woman’s Club of Concord. Since then, the house has been maintained by Club members. Rental fees help with the maintenance and utilities of Chamberlin House.

We hope you will think about renting Chamberlin house for your next event when your own home or apartment is not big enough. Or when getting your own home ready for an event is just too much work. We have a wonderful dining room, kitchen, and living room all ready to go! And it is truly a unique experience to be in this historic home.
